5 Success Habits of Abundance

Updated: May 6, 2020

Every day is a new day.

Only you can choose to see the gift in the moment.

Having reverence for life is key right now.

Take time to appreciate who you are and what you have every single day.

Being present and taking the pressure off a lot of my to dos, has made me realize that I often feel like I am running out of time. I became aware of this rushing or even fear that time was running out in the background of my brain. I was seriously breathless at times. This scarcity in time will run (and ruin) your life... and it's NOT THE TRUTH!

If anything is in abundance right now, it is time. We all have the gift of time. So it is important to catch ourselves in the limiting thoughts and beliefs and ask ourselves " is this true?" or "who taught me that this is true?" AND take this as an opportunity to retell our story and reframe the beliefs that are truly not serving us anymore.

Finances have also been a trigger for me for as long as I can remember. Haha.. yes, it feels like many of my old patterns have come up for me to heal lately! I felt confident when my bank account had a "cushion" and would literally lose all confidence and worth when it dipped. I would lie awake at night stressing about money... or rather the lack thereof, obsessively checking my bank account and wake up exhausted. I then would lose sight of the facts and allow my emotions and old beliefs on money bring me down this endless rabbit hole. I now call this my "chicken little mode"- running around in a frenzy thinking the sky is falling. The visual makes me laugh so I don't take things so seriously and I can become the observer.

We end up attracting more "lack" into our lives when that is all that we would focus on.

Before we know it, we have a lack of energy and a lack of time to go along with the lack of finances. This will not lead to the life and success you deserve and are so worthy of.

"What you focus on expands."

Abundance is a state of being.

When it comes to abundance I want you to include all 3 areas: TIME, ENERGY and FINANCES.

Here are my 5 success habits that I've been doing when I catch myself stressing, hoarding or worrying!

1. Say Thank you. Be grateful. Play the appreciation game! Scan your life and look for the good. What do you have to be grateful for? Where is there abundance? Air to breathe, clean water to drink, a roof over your head, the trees budding, spring flowers blooming, time to nurture yourself, a body that allows you to see and experience the world. Be grateful for what you have and develop ( yes it takes practice ) a deep reverence for life. Focus on the small things and say Thank YOU.

2. Laugh at yourself. Be silly and find something that makes you laugh or smile when you feel yourself stress and you are worying about lack. This helps break the seriousness of the illusion that you are caught up in and helps bring you back to reality so you can be more factual.. and less emotional. Stop taking yourself and life so seriously... remember Chicken Little??! As an observer, you will see that you will be so much more resourceful and create better solutions and actions because you can see things at face value.

3. Check your story. Ask yourself "is this true" or "who told me that this is true". Often our beliefs and stories we have on replay are based on the past and our interpretation of them from when we were a child. It's not true! Be brave enough to retell your story and give yourself what you wish you would have been told or the love you wish you would have gotten. Sometimes I visualize it like an old shirt that just doesn't fit anymore- stop putting it on!! If your beliefs dictate your future, choose beliefs ( which are really thought patterns) that will make you feel good about yourself and serve you in future.

4. Replace it with what you do want. Choose thoughts that make you feel good! I use a lot of affirmations to help with this. One of my go to affirmations on money is "Money flows to me, I am worthy of an extraordinary life!"as I stood there visualizing money flowing to me like I am a magnet. This was so uncomfortable for me at first so I wrote it on post it notes around me house and every time I would say it I would close my eyes, visualize and shift my state of being to what I was saying..until I started believing it.

"My body is strong, beautiful and healthy. I am healing and stronger every day." I used this post concussion when I was having memory lapses, my mind would blank out, lost speech, severe headaches, irritable and aggression as well as extreme fatigue and malaise. It was so easy to focus on all of the pain and the disfunction, why this shouldn't be happening but that just anchored me more into what I didn't want. As hard as it is, do it anyways- drag yourself kicking and screaming! In the beginning I swear it's about tricking your brain so you don't go get stuck in victimhood which is your ego wanting to keep you small.

"I feel energized and excited to serve." or "I'm in high demand and loving life" are affirmations I use when I'm feeling tired or overwhelmed... or when I feel like everyone is needing me or I'm being pulled in every direction.

5. Give generously and freely. This one can be scary when you are deep in the trenches but do the opposite of your fears! If you find yourself hoarding and holding onto things, give of your time, energy or finances. Write a card to a friend, share what you have, surprise someone with a gift of appreciation, be of service to a stranger, be generous with the people around you. Being kind and generous is a great way to get in the flow of abundance.

No matter how much you have in your bank account, abundance is available to you. Your self worth does not equal your net worth. Please read that again.

You are so worthy of an extraordinary life and the abundant source is constantly weaving and planting seeds for you. Your soul is calling and your purpose awaits but you need to be brave enough to conquer your fears and rewrite your story. It takes courage to say "Yes!', get comfortable in the discomfort.

Abundance will help you trust and become more generous. You will find confidence in sharing ( and discovering) your gifts, have reverence for life, appreciate all you have and who you are and live more boldly in your truth.

"What is accepted and appreciated is rewarded with more favour".

-Brendon Burchard

You are so worthy. Take a good run at it and leap!
